UK based composer and sound designer Greg Miles Patmore began his musical life in the North West of England, surrounded by the region’s strong brass band influences. Here he played, conducted and composed for brass before going to Goldsmith’s College, University of London to study composition with Edward Gregson, Stanley Glasser and Melanie Daiken. His music has always drawn upon and combined global, historical and contemporary influences, traditions and cultures freely.

Greg has always had a true passion for music inspired by theatre and has received notable acclaim for his complementary atmospheric, memorable and ‘quirky’ interpretation of the stage direction. In April 2008 Greg completed a score of incidental music for director Pat Garrett’s production of ‘Spring Awakening’ at the Courtyard Theatre, London. This was followed in the summer with Stephanie Sinclaire’s production of ‘The Shadowmaster’ at the Kings Head Theatre, London.

Greg has composed for theatrical productions including Christopher Luscombe’s adaptation of ‘Star Quality’ by Noel Coward; the musical ‘Dorothy’s Friends’; Martin McDonagh’s ‘Beauty Queen of Leenane,’.

Sound design projects include Grand Slam at Kings Head Theatre, London; the Fear installation at the Urbis Museum, Manchester; public address idents for the 2002 Commonwealth Games; The Diary of Anne Frank; Brassed Off.

Film and TV credits include Rent-a-Mate, Mummy’s Boys, La Patisserie, Antlers of Reason, Secret Agent, The Antique (UK/LA), Another Life (UK/LA), End of the Line. Music for Wigan Pier Theatre Company ‘The Way We Were’, 20th Century Liner (Discovery Channel), A Place by The Sea (Channel 4).

Published works include ‘The Agitator’ for Double Bass (pub: Kirklees).
